About Me – My Gardening Growth

Hello gardners! I'm Brianna, a part-time office worker and student for a Master of Arts in Communication, amidst the hustle, there's always room for houseplants in my life. My journey with houseplants began as a goal to add a touch of nature to my small room. Little did I know, it would become a passion that brings beauty to my home. Over time, I’ve collected 50+ plants, each with its own unique personality and care requirements. I really have learned through trial and error to keep these plants alive… I’ve purchased a few from my local plant stores more than once!

Today’s harvest from my little balcony garden 🍅🌿

A handful of tomatoes, sprigs of rosemary, and the curliest parsley you ever did see, all tucked into a basket that makes me feel like I just came back from the farmers market.

There’s something so exciting about stepping outside, snipping herbs, and knowing dinner will taste fresher because of it. Growing food, even in a small space, reminds me that you don’t need acres of land to enjoy the magic of a harvest 🌱✨

If you’ve been dreaming of starting a balcony garden or a few herb pots, let this be your sign, it’s worth it. 🌿

Would you cook these into pasta sauce, roasted veggies, or something totally different? I’m torn between all three. 👀

She’s in her new leaf era. 🌿✨ My fiddle l She’s in her new leaf era. 🌿✨

My fiddle leaf fig has had some ups and downs this year, but this tiny green leaf feels like a big win. There’s just something about watching new growth that makes all the watering, dusting, and plant care worth it!

Houseplant growth is such a reminder that progress can be quiet but still beautiful, and that a little patience goes a long way! 🪴

Tell me, what’s your plant’s latest milestone? 🌱 Whether it’s a new leaf, a bloom, or finally bouncing back from a rough season, I’d love to hear your growth stories.

And for my fellow houseplant lovers, what’s your secret for keeping a fiddle leaf fig happy? I’m always collecting tips from other plant parents!

Sunday afternoons in the living room 🌿 The plan Sunday afternoons in the living room 🌿
The plants are soaking up the light, supper is on, and I’m taking a quiet moment before the week gets busy. It’s my favorite way to reset, me, my dog, my houseplants, and a little peace before the emails start flying again.

If your plants could talk, I think mine would say, “finally, she’s sitting still so we can get some attention.” A few deep breaths, a little watering, and we’re all ready for the week ahead.

💚 How are you spending your Sunday? Drop it in the comments so we can share ideas for slowing down.
📌 Save this for the next time you need a reminder to pause and enjoy your indoor jungle.

Tomato girl summer means I get pasta girl fall rig Tomato girl summer means I get pasta girl fall right? 🍅🍝

The first batch of homegrown tomatoes is here, and I’m already dreaming of simmering them down into rich, cozy sauces for the cooler months. There’s just something magical about knowing exactly where your ingredients came from, and tasting all the sunshine they soaked up this summer ☀️

Whether you’ve got a sprawling garden or just a few pots on the balcony (like me!), growing even one tomato plant can transform your cooking game. I swear, store-bought can’t compare, especially during a Canadian winter!

🍅 Are your tomatoes ready yet, or are you still in the green stage? 🍝 Save this post for when you need a little pasta-night inspiration.

Repost this so your friends can dream of eating what they grow! Maybe you can start a community garden next summer!

I gave mine a quick boost with the PlantRX spray I picked up from @houseofplantscanada. It only took a minute, and now my little green crew is ready to soak up the rest of the summer light

If you’ve been meaning to fertilize but keep forgetting (we’ve all been there), consider this your sign. A quick spray can make a big difference 💚

oh no! consumerism is going to get me 😩🛍️ oh no! consumerism is going to get me 😩🛍️

I wandered Indigo alone for a while (a rare treat) and suddenly I’m daydreaming about book totes, fall mugs, and adorable hats I definitely don’t need…

…but maybe just one wouldn’t hurt? 👀🌿📚
Also saw a very cute dog so it was obviously a 10/10 outing 🐶🐾

Sometimes, you don’t need to buy a thing, just soaking in the calm of a quiet shop, cute finds, and good lighting is enough.
…but I may have walked out with a new coffee mug.

P.s the last pic has ceramic bins that are actually planters.
